Queen’s Park Faith Tour

To support the religious studies programme in this school we will be taking the children in Year’s 3 and 4 on a Faith Tour visit to Queen’s Park, Bedford.  This will focus on three faith communities.  Each tour will be led by a member of that faith.  The pupils will spend time at All Saint’s Parish Church, Jamia Masjid Gulshane Bagdhad Mosque and Guru Nanak Gurdwara.

The visit will take place on 21st September 2016 leaving school at 9 a.m.

Your child will need a packed lunch and drinks (plastic bottles or cartons only, no fizzy drinks please).  They will be eating at the Gurdwara and in respect for the Sikh vegetarian ethos you are asked to pack a vegetarian lunch with no meat, fish or eggs.

All children will need a headscarf.

In the Mosque head coverings are required for females.  It is also requested that visitors dress modestly with shoulders and legs covered.

All visitors, both male and female wear a head covering to the Gurdwara.

Shoes will need to be taken off and placed in a shoe rack at the Mosque and Gurdwara.
